how to get ready for my voice lesson?
so here are some of my Questions
1. how do i get over my fear of singing infront of someone in 4 days
2. what can i do to get my voice the best it can be ( like drinking water ,tea all those myths) in 4 days
3. what will the first lesson be like ( what will we talk about or due)
and anything else should know before hand

How to get ready? Make sure you are well hydrated–drink water. You don’t have to have water sloshing around your stomach all day, but make sure you drink enough that your throat isn’t dried out. If you want to drink tea, drink it, but it’s not a magic potion. Too much and the caffeine tends to have a drying effect. You are going to lessons so you can learn. The teacher doesn’t expect you to be an expert when you walk through the door. Even if you were an experienced singer–if you are still taking lessons–that means there is something more you want to achieve or improve upon. Feel free to ask your teacher anything about what sorts of things you two will be working on. If you have a favorite kind of music, let the teacher be aware of it. You might discuss why you are even taking voice lessons in the first place. Hopefully your teacher is patient and understanding and can offer you both encouragement as well as the important criticism you will need if you expect to learn anything.
A couple of other things. Try to get a really good night’s sleep (which is a great idea at any time). If you need to eat before the lesson, you should stick to something light and healthy–fruit, soup, sandwich, a salad—and save the pizza for later. That’s not because of the cheese (dairy), but because you don’t want to go try to sing with your stomach contents taking up all your breathing room.
Try and keep relaxed. Tension tightens up your throat and other muscles in your body that you need for singing. Never a good thing.
Good luck. Don’t hesitate to ask your teacher any singing related question. If he or she is a good teacher they will want you to understand the purpose of learning a certain song or exercise.
