Trying to alter an already swen (handmade) skirt fluffy?
I have a skirts that I sewed a while ago and they are complete. The start thin up at my waist and flair out, but was thinking of putting something inside of them to make make them puff out better. It’s hard to explain, but the way they are made, the sides fluff out, but not the front and back, so it looks a little weird, and I’d like to make the whole thing look fluffy, but not HUGE. I don’t want the hoop skirt look.
I went to the fabric store and the lady told me to sew netting under it, so I bough several yards, but I have no idea exactly how to sew this in. Do I just cut it from the same pattern I made the skirt from (which I made up), and just make it not go down to the bottom? Or is there a better way?
This is going to be scratchy if next to the skin.
