How do you wear a long/ short sleeve figure skating dress?
I just bought a figure skating dress that is short sleeve but i dont want to rip the neck part and it doesn’t have buttons or anything so how should i get it up and it fits. i just can’t get my arms into the sleeves
There’s no zipper, clasp, anything?! Uh oh. This is a predicament. What fabric is it? Lycra is harder to tear and stretches more, velvet doesn’t stretch quite as much.
Pull the dress on until the top is around your hips (the bottom hanging by your knees), and put your hands into the sleeves. Then inch one side up, then the other, if you can’t, have somebody help you. Try different combinations of inching it up, like maybe inch one side up almost all the way then inch the other up halfway, etc. etc.
Hold the dress to your shoulders. How many inches is the shoulder or armpit width of the dress? (depending on the style of the dress, if it even has shoulder width)
Then how many inches is your shoulder/armpit width? What’s the difference between the dress and you? If the dress is more than five inches smaller, even when fully stretched out, it might not be possible to get it on.
