Why is it considered poor manners to play with your food?
Most of us have been taught from a young age to not play with our food. I’ve always wondered, what exactly is it about playing with one’s food that is considered in bad taste? Where did this idea come from?
Try to stay away from sarcastic answers please, I’m genuinely curious here.
From a mum’s point of view, probably to keep the mess down!
Also i suppose playing with your food might contaminate it with bacteria if you’re hands aren’t clean.
