American Girl Doll Stuff I should Get?
Should I get all this stuff for my Elizabeth and JLY 25?

I would get Lanie since you already have Elizabeth which is a historical doll. You can get Rebecca any time but Lanie is only available for 2010.

Lanie’s Garden Outfit – It has a tunic, shorts, hat, sandals, and a beaded bracelet. The tunic is a tank top style with a blue plaid pattern and the shorts are white with embroidered nature designs on them. I love her white hat that comes with this outfit. The only thing about this outfit that I dislike is the fact that the sandals are a neon yellow and sort of clash with the outfit. White, red, or blue sandals would have gone better with this outfit. The thing I love about this outfit is it can be an “everyday” outfit and doesn’t have to be saved for special occassions.
Rebecca’s School Outfit – You get both a cardigan sweater and a skirt. You can mix and match either of these pieces with other outfits. You also get white stockings (think tights) and black boots. Unlike some outfits that come with a hat, this one comes with a Hair Ribbon. If you are playing school with this outfit, you can use the hair ribbon as a book ribbon to tie school books together for a really unique look.
Sweet Melody Outfit – This is definitely one of my favorite outfits and would be my top choice. It’s brightly colored, girly, fun, and can be used for an everyday occassion. You can also mix and match the pieces with other outfits. If you are into High School Musical, Hannah Montana, or any of the “pop star”/American Idol stuff then this is the fashion outfit that you will want to get for your doll. The t-shirt is purple and is a graphic tee with a musical design. The skirt is a tutu style layered skirt in bright pink and is so fashion forward and fun. My favorite part of the outfit is the sneakers which sparkle, they really make the outfit and can be used with so many “basic outfits” in the American Girl world. It’s really tough to fine cute sneakers for American Girl Dolls.
Raincoat and Boots – To me this outfit is my first choice and a no brainer. The color is bright and fun. The raincoat is a gorgeous blue color with a belt around the waist. A couple things to keep in mind, you shouldn’t really get the outfit wet, the buttons on the coat are really tiny and can be difficult to button. The rain boots are green with the sky blue trim. They are made of rubberized material. Because of this putting the rain boots on is difficult. The hat is the same sky blue, with a green trim. The hat doesn’t look much like an actual rain hat, and again you can’t really get the outfit wet, but it’s soooo adorable!
