Light or Dark Wood Furniture?
Moving into an apartment next week, white walls, white blinds, beige carpet, oak colored cabinets. Should I pick light or dark wood furniture? Dark wood fits my personality better (traditional) but I don’t think I would like all dark wood through out the apartment. What are the pro’s and con’s of each type of wood. Also, can I mix and match? light in the bedroom, dark in the living room / dining area or vice versa.
No decorating sense whatsoever would welcome any/all opinions.
i buy whatever i like. however keep in mind that dark furniture will make a room feel more crowded so if you have small rooms maybe consider a medium or light tone. but with all the white walls etc…you probably will be ok with dark anyway.
