Which American Girl Doll To Get???? Ruthie or Rebecca?
My niece’s birthday is coming up and she wants an american Girl Doll. She told me that she either wants Ruthie or Rebecca. Which one has a better story, easier to manage hair, etc?

I think both Ruthie and Rebecca are adorable! However, I do love Rebecca’s clothes and time period and find them a bit more fascinating than Ruthie’s. Also Rebecca is not just one of the American Girls’ best friends, the way Ruthie is Kit’s Best Friend. Therefore, there are more stories and accessories that go with Rebecca. Additionally, because Rebecca’s family are Russian immigrants living in bustling turn of the century New York City, there is more of the American “melting pot” kind of feeling to her stories. She has a very interesting background! Rebecca’s hair is also a lovely honey-brown color that no other American girl doll has. She has hazel eyes, as well, which set her apart even more. Because Rebecca is a full-fledged American Girl Doll, if you will, there is a lot more plot and character development behind her. Her clothes are beautiful too. She is such a little city girl!! I got Rebecca for Christmas and couldn’t be happier with her. So, my suggestion would be, get Rebecca!!
